A zero-waste accessory
MUUDANA uses beautiful traditional fabrics for its creations. They represent days and weeks of work for artisans and an invaluable textile heritage. So when Aude, the creator of MUUDANA, noticed that some of these fabrics would be discarded after cutting clothes, she decided to find a solution.
Aude then began to develop a collection of accessories made only with fabric scraps from MUUDANA. The beautiful fabrics that make MUUDANA’s personality are thus enhanced down to the smallest cm2 and MUUDANA’s environmental impact is reduced accordingly.
Fair tailoring
Then for the manufacture of these zero-waste accessories MUUDANA created a partnership with a renowned NGO from Cambodia: Friends International. The objective of this association is to protect and help children and adolescents in Southeast Asia who, in a context of poverty, are victims of violence, prostitution or exploitation.
To ensure the well-being and the future of these children, the NGO offers income-generating and equitable activities for parents as well as vocational training for adolescents. This is how the association has acquired real know-how in the making of accessories. An expertise that MUUDANA is delighted to support through this partnership and the making of zero-waste accessories.
